Firebrick Pottery is a working pottery studio and shop located in the heart of Lynchburg, VA. We offer hands-on workshops and open studio access for all skill levels with a focus on creativity, community, and craftsmanship. Our services include beginner-friendly handbuilding and wheel classes, private events, and a curated retail space featuring handmade pottery and work by local artists. In addition to finished goods, we also sell pottery-making supplies, including clay, glaze, and tools. One of the best date experiences we have ever had! We took the Wheel Throwing for Beginners class. I was so anxious about even sitting behind a wheel much less dealing with clay. Alex, the owner/instructor is AMAZING! She was incredibly informative and very patient! We all laughed a lot, encouraged each other, such a fun time! My husband enjoyed the class and actually made the better pieces. Yeah, a bit quirky, but for our first pieces…we were so pleased. I’m already planning a return visit with my grandkids and another visit for Girls night out!
